Lawn Aeration & Overseeding
Open compacted soil, strengthen roots, and rebuild thin areas with premium tall fescue seed.

The Sorensen approach
How aeration and overseeding invigorate your lawn
Lawn aeration and overseeding are essential parts of cool-season grass maintenance in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Regular lawn traffic, watering, and mowing can compact soil. Core aeration pulls plugs from the soil so water, air, and nutrients can reach the root system. Deeper roots retain moisture and stand up better to drought conditions.
We aerate in two directions, use hand aerators around the edges, and apply premium fertilizer and seed. These practices help build a thicker green lawn.
Why aerate and overseed
- Allow air, water, and nutrients to reach grass roots more effectively
- Improve drainage, fertilizer uptake, root growth, and turf resilience
- Reduce soil compaction and the chance of puddling
- Fill summer damage and bare patches
- Improve density, color, and resistance to disease and drought
Start your aeration and seeding solution
Reseeding season begins in early September and continues through the end of October. New seed typically germinates in 7-21 days.
